Day 1 - March 23, 2024: Arrival in Whitehorse

Welcome to Whitehorse, Canada's northern gem! As you descend into this pristine valley, your eyes will be captivated by the rugged beauty of Canyon Mountain (Grey Mountain to locals) in the east, the majestic Haeckel Hill to the northwest, and the resplendent Golden Horn Mountain to the south. ** To keep your packing down, we've included a winter clothing rental package. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at the Best Western Gold Rush Inn.

Day 2 - March 24, 2024: Whitehorse

Visit the Yukon Wildlife Preserve to photograph wildlife in its natural habitat, including Dall sheep, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, deer, elk, woodland caribou, wood bison, musk-ox, and moose. Later, soak in the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs as you admire the winter landscape. By nightfall, witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights and, on March 24th, experience the Total Lunar Eclipse. 

Day 3 - March 25, 2024: Whitehorse

Savour another night of mystical Northern Lights viewing in Whitehorse's dry, precipitation-free climate. Winter months offer prime opportunities for observing this natural wonder. You can also enjoy activities like dogsledding, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. Explore historic sites, art galleries, and museums to uncover the Gold Rush past. End the day with a historical ranch tour and fireside refreshments.

Day 4 - March 26, 2024: Flight to Vancouver

Fly to Vancouver and transfer to a Deluxe level hotel, such as the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, known for its exceptional locations, attentive service, and world-class amenities.

Day 5 - March 27, 2024: Vancouver Exploration

Discover vibrant Vancouver, immersing yourself in the natural beauty of Stanley Park, lively Granville Markets, and awe-inspiring Grouse Mountain. Visit the picturesque University of British Columbia with its beach and remarkable telescope. 

Day 6 - March 28, 2024: Vancouver Island Adventure

Embark on a full-day adventure, journeying by boat and coach to scenic Vancouver Island. Explore the 55-acre wonderland of Butchart Gardens and visit the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, once home to the world's largest telescope. 

Day 7 - March 29, 2024: Rail Journey to Jasper National Park

Enjoy a breathtaking overnight rail journey through British Columbia's rugged Cariboo Mountains, arriving in captivating Jasper National Park. Your private Sleeper Plus Class cabin features comfortable armchairs and retractable upper and lower beds, with a private toilet, sink, and mirror. 

Day 8 - March 30, 2024: Explore Jasper

As you arrive in Jasper, surrounded by the stunning Canadian Rockies, take in ideal astronomical viewing conditions in this designated dark sky preserve. Enjoy guided stargazing and astrophotography techniques. 

Day 9 - March 31, 2024: Lake Louise

Breathe in the crisp mountain air and savor coffee before a journey to Lake Louise. Explore the landscape from a picturesque sleigh, complete with upholstered seats and blankets for warmth. Admire the Chateau Lake Louise and the mountains as your guide shows you the sights.

Day 10 - April 1, 2024: Farewell from Calgary

Conclude your adventure in Calgary, where you'll transfer to the airport for your onward journey or continue your exploration in Texas. (*UA750 - departing Calgary at 13.55 arrive Houston at 19:00)

Please see our terms and conditions for cancellation details. Prices are indicative and in Australian dollars and based on an exchange of .1.10 CAD/AUD and are subject to currency fluctuations. Based off the Canadian dollar price of $6180 pp (twin share)

If the minimum numbers (12 pax) are not met, alternative travel arrangements may be made, however in the instance that this is not possible, the tour may be cancelled. and your deposit returned. Please note twin rooms are based on two co-travellers sharing a room - if you choose this option as a single traveller, you may be required to pay the full supplement in the event no other single traveller wishes to share. There are only 4 single rooms available throughout the journey and travel insurance is required to participate.
