About the event

For International Dark Sky Week, we’re staging an exclusive, small-group Sydney experience designed for people who love the night sky as much as they love a great story.


The Ultimate Sydney Astronomy Weekend blends iconic settings with after-hours access and unforgettable viewing: sail the harbour aboard the magnificent tall ship James Craig with the stars overhead, step into the world of heritage astronomy on a Sydney Observatory evening experience with telescope viewing, then head to Parramatta Observatory to add depth to Sydney’s long relationship with skywatching and navigation.


Between these dark sky moments, we’ll thread in a fresh take on Sydney—routes, viewpoints and narratives that reveal the city in ways most visitors never see. And to celebrate Sydney's Dark Sky Place, we escape to the Northern Beaches for dinner and stargazing at Palm Beach Urban Dark Sky Place, where open horizons and sea air set the scene for a spectacular final night under the…
